…she was born in South Africa.
Believe it or not, Charlize did not move to America until she was almost 18, and English is her second language (she grew up speaking Afrikaans).
Charlize grew up with an abusive father, whom her mother lawfully shot to death in 1991, when Charlize was 16. The killing was in self-defense and Charlize’s mother was not charged. Her mother and her are very close.
She supports equality, choice, and animal rights. She gives back to the communities of South Africa, sponsoring programs to provide clothing and sports facilities to its citizens.
She retains her South African citizenship, and also received US citizenship in 2007.
Basically I adore Charlize Theron and if anyone fucks with her they’ll get my boot up their ass.
